Who we are

Metlab Ltd (“Metlab”, “we”) provides testing, inspection and certification services from laboratories in Cork and Dublin, Ireland. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

What we collect and why

• Enquiry details — name, company, email, phone and your message, used solely to respond to your enquiry and provide quotations (legal basis: legitimate interest / steps prior to contract).
• Certification records — where we certify personnel, we process the records required by the certification schemes and our ISO/IEC 17024 accreditation (legal basis: contract and legal obligation).
• Career applications — CVs and contact details you send us, retained only as long as recruitment requires.

What we don’t do

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making. Analytics, where used, is configured without cross-site tracking.

Retention and sharing

Enquiry data is retained only as long as needed to handle your matter. Certification and test records are retained for the periods our accreditations and applicable law require. Data is shared only with processors necessary to run our services (e.g. hosting and email), under appropriate agreements, within the EEA or with equivalent safeguards.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and you may object to processing. Contact cork@metlab.ie — and you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
